Julie & Stuart’s Story

Julie & Stu love living in the shadow of the beautiful Malvern Hills but also spend as much time as they can in Devon and Cornwall. Choosing to tie the knot at the Talland Bay Hotel with the ocean as their backdrop, they wanted a fun seaside theme incorporating a slate and pink colour palette. We created a fun pocket style invitation to hold all the information that their guests needed as well as an RSVP card and ready-addressed envelope to make it easy for guests to let the couple know whether they could attend. We used fonts, motifs and phrases reminiscent of old-fashioned British seaside holidays. The invitation suite was encircled with a belly band embellished with beachcombing treasures and rustic string and then wrapped in pale pink organza and presented in a beautiful metallic silver box to keep everything safe in the mail.

The style of the invitations was replicated in the on-the-day stationery including a table plan which featured a map of Cornwall with tables named after the couple’s favourite seaside locations and menus for each guest. Of course traditional fish and chips was on the menu!
